Pinewood Derby 2009

We just had the annual Pinewood Derby (every Cub Scouts dream). Logan's "coaster" did great!! If anyone knows anything about Logan, it's that he LOVES trains. Since spending a week with Abuelita in San Diego this last December and riding the coaster there, he has grown a little attached. It's just another train to add to the disturbia!! Anyway, we all had fun tonight, and we are very, very proud of Logan. :)Here's Logan's car getting ready to race down the track.
This is what Logan looked like when he saw his car finish.
Last, but certainly not least, here he is with his certificate and car.

Getting Dressed

I'm trying to teach Cole how to put his clothes on after he goes to the potty. It' s obviously not working very well because this is how I found him when I told him to put his underwear on. Like father, like son. (Sorry, I can't figure out how to rotate pictures yet. Can anyone help me?!?)

Potty Training

Cole has been potty trained for about 31/2 months now, however, I can't stand poop stains in the underwear. So, Alain and I still wipe his bum. We have come to figure out that the pajamas with the feet are not so great when your son is potty training. Because of this we don't put them on him, but we had a babysitter who did!! Anyway, on Sunday this is what I found Alain doing. What a great dad!!

Christmas Day 2008

This is what our Christmas day looked like. The boys got matching Thomas blankets, Logan got lots of airplanes (his favorite right now), and Cole got lots of dinosaurs (one of his many favorites). They also enjoyed being able to spend some time with their Rivard grandparents. It was a great day, except for the fact that Alain was SICK!!! Oh, and all of our garbage blew out of the garbage can, so all of us were running around in the pitch black, in the freezing wind and rain, trying to catch all of the little bits of wrapping paper. Oh what fun!!

Our Ward Christmas Party

We had a great time at our Ward Christmas Party this year. The boys got to see Santa, they sang Christmas songs with the Primary (even though Cole is not in primary), and Cole had fun decorating sugar cookies. Overall, it was a fun experience.

Christmas 2008

This may be a little late, but at least I figured out how to add pictures (with Alain's help, of course!). This first picture is of the boys making their gingerbread house. Dad was trying to be very patient while the boys were putting the house together, but with him being an architect, it didn't go as well as he had planned. :)

The next thing we did with our holidays was pick out our Christmas tree. We always to go Star Nursery since they're the cheapest we've found in town ($20 for a 6-7' tree!!). Also, the boys love being pushed and pulled in the wagon. Mom just wants to get it done as quickly as possible since it's like 40 degrees outside!

New Beginnings

This is all new to me!! My husband is going to flip out because he thinks I'm totally computer illiterate. Well, this will show him! Actually, he's partially right, I really have NO idea what I'm doing, so I'll just learn as I go! I look forward to my family and friends being able to see and hear about what the Rivard fam is up to. Especially with the new one coming, I'm not sure I'll be able to talk to people as much as I will want to, so I guess I'm starting this at the perfect time!! We'll see how it goes :)
