Ohhhh........GODIVA

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a chocolate freak (right, Rachel?). The boys and I had to go to the Fashion Show Mall today. We always stop at Godiva every time we go, and today was no exception! I was blessed to find out that it is TRUFFLE month (my favorite)!! There were so many yummy new flavors. I wanted to try every single one, but I held back. (I'll just have to think of lots more excuses to go back to the mall ;)) The boy that helped us was so very kind. He informed me that I was able to become a gold-carrying Godiva card member!! I get lots of free things, but the best part of all is my one free chocolate every month! Here's a snapshot of me with my new card. (FYI: Alain thought this was hilarious, so he insisted on taking this pic.)

Halloween 2009

We had a lot of fun this Halloween, even though it seems like our lives are a never-ending bunch of running aroundness (yes, I know that's not a word, but I couldn't think of any other way to describe it). We rushed to carve pumpkins before our trunk-or-treat, which I actually didn't participate in because I HATE doing it. Then off to the trunk-or-treat which was fun for the kids. Since there weren't a lot of cars there, I decided to take Logan and Cole out to a neighborhood with our friends, the Sechrists, but that was even kind of disappointing. On a full long court, like ours, there were only about 6 houses giving out candy. What has happened to this world of ours?!?
Logan picked a great pumpkin this year, and carved it to look like Frankenstein!!I'm glad Cole picked a pumpkin his size!Ty, as always, along for the ride.

The boys at the trunk-or-treat. Logan was a GI Joe, Cole was Spiderman, and Ty didn't fit the honeypot costume all the other boys have worn, so he had to wear a "This is my first Halloween" shirt. ;PAlain wore his favorite baby-blue tuxedo, and I was a mom.

Anderson Dairy

It's hard to believe that we've lived in Las Vegas almost 12 years, and only went to Anderson Dairy for the first time last month!! I was very excited because when I was growing up I was able to visit the Hershey factory that was near our house, so I was thinking it was going to be like that. Well, to put it nicely, it wasn't!! It would have been fine if we had not visited the Dairy for the next 12 years we are here! The tour was literally like 20 feet long, and you only got to see them boxing the ice cream and see a big freezer. The rest of the time they made the kids sit and watch videos. It may have been cool for the kids, but so lame for hopeful little me. :(
Outside the gates of Anderson Dairy.Cole, and his girl, Acacia.

Swim Lessons...Finally!!

We finally got swim lessons for the boys this year. Never mind that it wasn't until October!! They did great, and loved it, and that's all that matters.
He was usually not in life jackets, but he just loved doing it this one time. He kept swimming around in circles. It was the cutest thing! Here Logan is learning the correct way to use his arms when swimming.

8 Months Already!!

We cannot believe Ty is 8 months already!! It seems like it was just last month that he was being pushed out! He's been crawling for the last two months and is thoroughly enjoying it(much to mommy's chagrin). He loves to laugh and play with anyone who will give him the time of day. His smiles are always melting strangers' hearts, but mommy knows better ;) We love having him and are glad that he is with us.

Wild Animal Park

I still can't believe that there is a wild animal park in the middle of the mountains near San Diego. It is always nice to go there and see the wild animals. The kids enjoyed it, even though it was a quick trip, and look forward to spending more time there next time we go.
This is the tram you take on the "Journey to Africa."
Cole wanted to feed nectar to the birds very badly! This is us on about 6 hours of sleep in 48 hours.

San Diego Zoo

We decided to take a trip down to San Diego and visit their zoo and the Wild Animal Park since kids are free the month of October. We had a lot of fun, did a lot of walking, and not a lot of sleeping. The kids are excited to get to go back soon since we bought a year's pass (it was cheaper doing that than buying tickets for just 2 days!)

Cole liked the giraffes. Actually, he liked all the animals.Logan thought the camels smelled the worst, and I would have to agree!Ty was just chillin'. He was great during the day, but a terror at night!!
